Tonny Martins
President, IBM Latin America
Tonny Martins has been the President of IBM Latin America since October 2020.
Prior to this role, he served as the President of IBM Brazil from 2018 to 2020. Starting his career as an intern at IBM over 30 years ago, Tonny has held various leadership positions across Services, Solutions, and Business Consulting segments. He was the President of IBM Mexico and Vice President for Application Services for IBM’s growth markets, based in Shanghai, China, leading operations across 149 countries.
Tonny’s mission is to drive the adoption of technologies to positively impact people and businesses, building a promising future in Latin America. His leadership focuses on supporting clients from all industries in their digital transformation journey through the application of artificial intelligence, automation, and hybrid cloud solutions. Additionally, he emphasizes the development of a co-creation ecosystem through open innovation, fostering collaboration with partners, startups, developers, and educational institutions.
He holds a degree in Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, a postgraduate degree in Finance and Banking from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and an Executive MBA from COPPEAD, Rio de Janeiro.
